Forum Rules

FORUM RULES AND RULES OF CONDUCT:

1. You must have an active account to post on our forums.
After you register and login to this forum, you will be able to fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information. Any information the forum owner or staff determines to be inaccurate or vulgar in nature will be removed, with or without prior notice. Appropriate sanctions may be applicable. As you register you have the ability to choose your username. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. You are only allowed to have 1 username on the forum.

2. Be respectful of others at all times.
The purpose of the forum is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas. Occasionally, there will be conflicts that arise when people voice opinions. Be courteous when disagreeing with others. It is possible to disagree without being insulting.

3. Personal attacks are prohibited.
Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts which are designed to personally berate or insult another. Text of this nature is not beneficial to the community spirit and will not be tolerated.

4. Trolling is prohibited.
Trolling is the word used to describe a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the members of the forum community. Posts of this nature are disruptive and do not convey a friendly attitude.

5. No posting of personal information
Please respect the privacy of other members and do not give out information such as phone numbers and addresses.

6. No all-caps (FOR EXAMPLE, LIKE THIS) or all-bolds please. It is extremely hard to read. Posts submitted in all-caps or all-bolds will be deleted automatically.

7. Private communication between members, moderators and administrators of the forum and the forum users is not to be made public on these forums or by any other venue. You are not permitted to publicize any private correspondence (including petitions) received from any of the aforementioned.

8. Immediate banning from the forum can result from any of the following:
The posting of pornography; discriminatory remarks which are sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive; excessive obscene or vulgar language; posts which discuss or illustrate illegal activity; providing links to sites that contain any of the aforementioned.

9. Spamming is prohibited.
Spam is considered to be repetitive posting of the same text again and again or nonsensical posts that have no substance and are often designed to annoy other forum users.

10. Redundant threads will be deleted.
As a courtesy to others before beginning a new thread, please look to see if an active thread on that topic has already been established. If so, place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forum needlessly and many good ideas may be lost. Keep discussions about one topic to one thread only.

11. Impersonating another forum user, moderator, volunteer, or administrator is strictly prohibited.
You are expressly forbidden from impersonating anyone else. This may be grounds for immediate banning from the forum.

12. You may not post advertisements.
Posts discussing or linking to online auction sites or the sale of goods or services are strictly prohibited, this also includes commercial advertising through signatures, pictures, images, avatars, userbars, etc..

13. Avoid using profanity.
Please help us on keeping these forums as friendly and clean as possible.

14. Post constructively.
Negative feedback can be very useful, provided that it is presented in a civil, factual manner. Tell us what you don't like and why and how you feel it could be improved. Posts that are insulting and rude may be deleted, no matter how valid the ideas behind them may be.

15. Please do not post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Although we love the extra information and sources you could bring to the forums, due to copyright and space issues, please do not quote entire news articles from other sources; small excerpts and/or a link keeps things legal. Please provide a link.

16. Disputes which cannot be resolved between forum users and moderators may be arbitrated by the forum administrators.

17. Please DO NOT start ANY thread where the main topic is related to politics, religion or sex, and DO NOT gear any thread into these topics. If you do, the thread will be locked and eliminated. We have people in these forums with so different points of view in these topics that its difficult to not end up discussing, getting hurt or hurting others.

18. Signatures can NOT include political. religious or sexual related quotes. We have people coming from so many different places and/or with so different beliefs, that we advice to maintain signatures as neutral as possible.
