Did a hard install on to a HP Z600 Server / workstation as I wanted a fully functioning Linux Forensic machine running 16.04 LTS. Worked great for a couple of days. Now it won't allow me to login. Re-installed OS. Same problem. User caine comes up but hitting Login just presents the user login screen again. Any thoughts?

never happened...I don't know how to solve your problem...try to reinstall.
